We do what we love. it is not so much work as our intention in life-to help old animals, and old people. May I ask, if you see value in our work, can you support us with a donation or matching donation? [And thank you to those of you that do].

I want to share our accomplishes this year.  We had a lot of vet needs this year after taking on more elders/special needs animals, and the work we did to try to save Birdie.

So if you can donate, please do. All  sizes of donations are crucial to keeping our fund healthy. Anyone donating $250 or more will get a 120 page photo book from Apifera of all your favorite animals [to be delivered December-January to USA addresses only].

If you prefer to send a check: make it to Apifera Farm Inc., 315 Waldoboro RD, Bremen, ME 04551. Our EIN# is # 82-2236486

Watch Opie in a test run of his Love Mobile [this was as we were building it, so it is not a finished version]
As winter comes, remember there is always rebirth and life going on under the ground, there is always hope when we see the moon that there will be a sun.
Last night, Papi was clearly going to pass on. He had been not himself for a day, but was not in distress. I just knew he was transitioning. I spent lots of time with him last night.  I knew what I would find in the morning. He died in a relaxed position in one of his favorite spots, warm snuggled in the sheep wool. Papi was a huge presence in the elder cat suite and had earlier health isses that might have compromised him in the end. He was The President of the Old Kitty Knitty Club and was a spokesman for our many fundraising efforts. It was just like him to go out on his terms, and in the beginning of a fundrasier-showing me he had confidence I could do it without him helping. Goodbye old man.
We had our first freezing temps, but we're ready!
