Dear <<First Name>>,

Thank you everyone who helped make the second Gwent League at Blaise Castle a success, both the league officials who adapted to the new system marvellously, and team managers who successfully brought all their athletes online. And, of course, a big THANK YOU to Peter Burton who divised and implemented the new system.

There were a few minor glitches (one or two given the wrong number and some forenames and surnames the wrong way around) and a couple of clubs seemed to give out numbers at random (which slowed the results processing, as we seemed to have women finishing in the men's race, U20s in the U13s race, etc).  Results were a little slow for the juniors on my part (adapting the software for the new system), but will hopefully be quicker from now on.

We'll continue with the bar code system for Pembrey using the same numbers, so please check that your athletes know to hang on to their numbers.  I think a system is being devised for lost numbers, based around the chairman slapping the offender with a rotten haddock (vegetarian alternative under development, I believe it's based on organic chillis), more about this later.

The Third Gwent League at Pembrey
Information for Pembrey is now [on the website] (also note dates and venues for the final two fixtures), and there is a comprehensive [guide to the event here]. The site will feature a Traditional Christmas Fayre with a selection of crafts and local produce stalls, entertainment and toboggan rides (which are popular with the youngsters).

Please pay particular attention to the Car Parking directions, as you will need to pay BEFORE you leave (you won't be allowed out without a paid ticket and you can't pay at the exit).
