Dear <<First Name>>,

This email contains details for Saturday which are in addition to those emailed out last week, plus news of the second fixture, and the results of the equal distances ballot.

Registration
Unfortunately, the league chairman is unwell again, so we'll be short handed on Saturday.

To make life easier, we will NOT collect ANY payments at registration (some clubs will owe us money, don't worry we know where you live...).  We'll mail out how to make payments (both pre-payment and on account) at a later date.

The registration process will be to simply drop off your forms (which you have pre-printed and brought with you...), and pick up the correct envelopes (red for seniors, black for juniors) plus ‘Gwent League’ ‘numbers’ to pin on athletes.  We'll work out what you owe from the declaration sheets.

League T-Shirts and Medals carried over from the 2019-20 season will NOT be available at this fixture, but we should have them at Brecon (see below).  Alternatively, Roland can post all medals for a particular club if you email him your club name and delivery address (plus a list of medals expected would help).

Covid-19
Obviously, anyone who has tested positive or has symptoms please stay away.  The use of masks when under cover, and hand sanitizer (supplied) at registration are advisable but not mandatory. Team managers please use small plastic bags so you don't have to handle the disks as you collect them.  There will be a few spare bags at registration.

Athletes please don't gather near the start line until 2 minutes before the race is due to start.

The second fixture will be held at Parc de Pugh, Brecon on SUNDAY 14th November (this is the 'rugby' venue, not the 'leisure centre' venue).

Voting on Equal Distances
Although unwell, the chairman has now inspected and ratified the votes cast, and it was a nail biter, with 12 for equal distances, 13 for the status quo, and 1 abstention.  Two votes cast after Sunday's deadline were discounted, while votes from clubs which were affiliated to the league at this summers AGM and have subsequently paid overdue affiliation fees were included.

Accordingly, recommended race distances will be unchanged this winter.

We received votes from clubs as below.  If you think there is a mistake, please contact Derek Osborne.
