Dear <<First Name>>,
Thank you all clubs who voted in round 1, to determine which option is preferred if a change were to be made.
The most popular option was Option 2 (men and women run in different races, over the same distance of 8km).
Voting is now open for the second and final round, to establish whether this option is preferred to the Status Quo (men and women run in different races, over distances independently determined at the AGM).
There are fuller descriptions of Option 2 and the Status Quo here, but please disregard options 1, 3 and 4, which have now been discounted.
Each club has ONE vote, which must come from a leading committee member on behalf of that club. Clubs may vote to abstain.
The appropriate person should cast their vote using this template. If you have difficulty using the link, please reply to this email and I will send you the voting template.
Voting for round 2 closes at midnight on Sunday, 10th October.
Please note that these proposals cover the senior races only, and will only take effect after Cardiff, over which, as part of the British Athletics Cross-Country Series, we have no control. There will be no change to junior race distances this season. If Option 2 is chosen, the committee will devise an arrangement for older masters to run a shorter distance in 2021-22. There will be an opportunity to properly review masters and junior distances at the AGM in 2022.
