Dear <<First Name>>,
(See below for updates on the new registration system, including lost numbers).
Information for Pembrey is now [on the website] (also note dates and venues for the final two fixtures), and there is a comprehensive [guide to the event here]. The site will feature a Traditional Christmas Fayre with a selection of crafts and local produce stalls, entertainment and toboggan rides (which are popular with the youngsters).
Please pay particular attention to the Car Parking directions, as you will need to pay before you leave (you won't be allowed out without a paid ticket and you can't pay at the exit). If you prefer, you can [pay online here].
We're cautiously optimistic that the 2021-22 plates for leading senior teams [listed here] will be available on Saturday. If they are, you will find them in the T-Shirt Tent. If not, we'll have them at Margam Park.
Registration Updates
Peter Burton, who has been developing and updating the new bar code system, has provided the following update:
"Since the last fixture, I have made a few changes to the registration and result systems and how we coordinate the barcode scanners and finish funnels, to help things run more smoothly.
At the last fixture, some athletes ran with the wrong or unassigned numbers. Please can you email yourself or print out the list of athletes from the registration system and check these before the event to try and reduce this.
We are anticipating some athletes will forget their numbers at Pembrey. These athletes can either have a new number from your clubs' batch that we gave out at the last fixture or get a spare number from us. Please come to registration with any numbers from your batch so we can record who has switched a number.
We don't need to know which number is missing, just the name, club, and race the athlete is running in. We can work out the lost number from that. Once an athlete has switched their number, we will mark the old one as lost. Please advise athletes that even if they find the old number again, they should throw it away.
If athletes turn up on the day and are not registered, you can either give them a new number from your clubs' batch that we gave out at the last fixture or get a spare number from us. Please come to registration so that we can record these athletes.
If you have any queries about the above or anything else relating to registration, please [get in touch]."
Regards,
Neil
