This month we are delighted to have been nominated for two awards; Cumbrian Campsite of the Year and Cumbrian Sustainable Business of the Year. We have reached the last three in each category and will find out later in June how we have done. These nominations reflect how hard our staff and technical team have worked over the last few years. Thank you!
Music in the Bar
Last month we were treated to 3 different piano players and a duo of flutes. Two out of the three have been rebooked.
If you have a musical talent please let us know before you arrive.
The Quiet Site slope
Having a campsite on the side of a fell has always presented challenges to our loyal band of campers. The challenge is no more! The last remaining slope is now terraced giving everyone the same theatre like view over the valley.
Please see http://www.thequietsite.co.uk/offers/accommodation for our offers.
Fix the Fells
The beauty of the lake district attracts over 15 million visitors each year. Many come to walk the fells. But this huge number of visitors leave a mark on the landscape. We are now fundraising for the Fix the Fells project through the local charity Nurture Lakeland. Donation Boxes are positioned in the bar and shop.
Fed up with the high price of petrol? The Quiet Site has close ties with Lakes Caravan Storage. They will deliver your caravan to The Quiet Site free of charge and return it when you have finished your break. They can also deliver to other Cumbrian parks at a charge. See http://www.lakescaravanstore.co.uk/
Stayed with us before?
We’d love to hear about it. We are committed to constantly improving everyone's holiday experience at The Quiet Site, and one way we can do this is by listening to what you, our guests, tell us after your visit. At www.ratethispark.co.uk/TheQuietSite there is a simple questionnaire which allows you to rate different aspects of your stay. Good, bad or indifferent, we'd love to know! Thank you for giving us your thoughts - and for helping us make The Quiet Site even better for your next visit!
The shop has received some much needed reorganisation giving a little more space to the customers and a little less to the staff... We have also been trying out various coffee machines so please let us know your favourite.
On Monday the 4th and Tuesday 5th July there will be a little more noise than usual here at the not so Quiet Site. Two dead trees are being removed in the Holiday home field and two more are being Polarded to make them safe in high winds. Appologies in advance.
We have negotiated some discounts at local attractions. Please see http://www.thequietsite.co.uk/offers/discounts for a full list.
It looks like the summer is back so hope to see you soon!
