The final countdown is on as we approach World Parkinson's Day - next Monday 11 April - and there is no better time to get involved and to support Australian Parkinson's research.
It is an exciting time for Australian Parkinson's research with Shake It Up Founder Clyde Campbell and CEO Ben Young recently sharing the news that since the beginning of the 2015/16 FY we have committed funds to five new research projects at three Australian institutes with a total value of over $1.6M (co-funded on a 50/50 basis with The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (MJFF)). This makes the Shake It Up/MJFF partnership the largest non-government funder of Parkinson's research in Australia (read more).
We now have set the ambitious target of raising a further $1 Million for research before the end of the year! You can help us reach this target by making a donation today.
Our World Parkinson's day campaign, Pause 4 Parkinson's, continues throughout April, so there is still time to gather your friends, family and colleagues and unite to raise awareness and funds for Australian Parkinson's research.
Katrina is dancing for Parkinson's (and you can join her!) whilst Bev's bright sparks are holding a delicious dinner and cocktail night, all for Pause 4 Parkinson's, making them our Shake It Up Heroes!
