There's more to come in the next week or two, but here's some highlights...

We're thrilled to have Stephen Taberner back to lead The Big Sing, as well as some additional specialist workshops, solo performances and general public mayhem... This year's choirs include a few newcomers, such as the youth Noongar choir Koondarm, and Indie choir Menagerie.

The program has a strong 'Voices of First People' focus, with Kim Scott, and two fascinating spoken word projects: Bilya Kep from Northam (in partnership with CAN) and the Great Southern Wirlomin Language Project.  We will also be joined by Noongar story-teller Lynette Knapp and speaker Lester Coyne. And we're delighted to be featuring the Yabu Band and hip-hop artist Ziggy Ramo. Plus more..... like the African American soul singer from Seattle, Fysah.

We have music from four corners, with Perch Creek, Winiata Piru and Riley Lee and Helen Thompson with their performance of Gregorian chant and Shakuhachi combination Meditations. We're excited to be doing our first Sea Shanty Scrimmage, our second ever Poetry Slam led by the TedX speaker and National Poetry Slam Champion Jesse Oliver and producer of the Pakistani Poetry Slam Zainab Zahra Syed.

There's so much more...and we'll introduce you to some of the other Voices of Power and Beauty in the next weeks - check out our performers' page here: - watch for more being added in the next week or so, stay tuned and most importantly, come join us for the immersive, wonderful, magical annual Festival that happens when the Denmark community open their arms ... in the Denmark Festival of Voice...

Tell your friends, like our facebook page, get excited, tone your voices, book your accommodation, come on down for a feast which centres on the wonder of Voice in the beautiful village of Denmark, WA.
