March is National Nutrition Month and while we all strive to eat well and stay healthy year-round, it seems like a good time for a few reminders and reinforcements. We thought it would be fun to put together 31 nutrition tips for 31 days in March.
Tara Gidus, a registered dietitian and Growing Bolder contributor, couldn't believe it when doctors revealed that her husband Stephen was diagnosed with stage IV cancer and had less than a year to live. As a dietitian, she firmly believes that food has the power to assist in prevention of disease, so she decided to use her skills to help Stephen make some fairly drastic nutritional changes. She shares their story with Growing Bolder Magazine, along with advice and tips for other families who are battling cancer.
