RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!

Check out any run in America and you'll see it -- the ever increasing number of people 40, 50, 60, 70 and older. They're people who've made the decision to run for their lives. Get inspired by their commitment to active and healthy aging, even when faced with the kinds of health setbacks most of us will face in life. Their message? It doesn't matter if you walk or run, just keep moving!

And do you think you’re too old, too out of shape or too whatever to do it yourself? Then wait until you meet a group of first-time participants, including a woman who was confined to a wheelchair and headed for worse health until she took her doctor’s advice to start walking. Her story will amaze you.
Click here to join Team Growing Bolder at an event that attracted more than 4,000 walkers and runners and get inspired to move toward your healthier future.

She may be Dolly Parton’s younger sister, but Stella Parton is a force to be reckoned with in her own right — all 5 feet of her! Click here and listen to her explain why she sees herself as a messenger of hope and describe the joy in giving back.
This week, beloved author Beverly Cleary celebrated her 100th birthday. A former librarian and bookstore clerk, Cleary didn't start writing books until she was in her 30s and noticed the kids in her library were always trying to find books about "kids like us." She didn't see them either, so she wrote them, creating now iconic characters such as Ramona and Beezus Quimby, Henry Huggins and Ralph S. Mouse. Click here to find out the surprising reason why she thinks her books have been so popular with children.
Wendy Takeaway - Spectators: Growing Bolder Motivational Minute
There's no doubt about it -- we are a nation of sports nuts. Just check out the massive amount of people who turned out last night to watch NBA star Kobe Bryant's final game of his 20-year career. Enjoying sports on TV is great, but Growing Bolder's Wendy Chioji wants to know when we exclusively became a nation of spectators. Watch her motivational minute and get inspired to get in the game of life!
