FROM CANCER TO KILI

Start your New Year off right with the magazine that's dedicated to hope, inspiration and possibility. Insiders, you're getting the very first look at the new issue of Growing Bolder Magazine! The January/February issue is now available online and will be hitting home delivery mailboxes and Central Florida Walgreens stores in the coming days.

In this month's issue, Growing Bolder reporter and "Surviving & Thriving" host Wendy Chioji describes why she's determined to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa next month with other cancer survivors, just weeks after completing treatment for her second cancer diagnosis, thymic carcinoma. "Something like Kilimanjaro, that so few people in the world are able to do, much less a two-time cancer survivor, is incredibly important and symbolic because it means victory over disease. So there, cancer. You can’t change my life. You can’t take this," she tells Growing Bolder Magazine.

Other features this month include our story on an artist who discovered a new passion for a unique form of art later in life and in the process, discovered himself. Plus, registered dietitian and Growing Bolder contributor Susan Mitchell, Ph.D., offers tips for getting your sleeping habits on track for the new year.

DON'T MISS YOUR DAILY DOSE OF INSPIRATION

The Growing Bolder Facebook page is one of the fastest growing pages on the social media site and we want you to come join all the fun! One of our most popular features are the daily motivational graphics we post. These aren't your old-school eagles soaring over mountains pictures. These are pictures of real people like you living real and extraordinary lives and proving to the world that it's never to late to live a life of passion and purpose.

In 2014, don't make resolutions you know you won't keep. Instead, RESOLVE to make it the year you finally take even just one step toward living BOLDLY. In this month's Letter From the Editor column in Growing Bolder Magazine, Marc Middleton writes, "The best day to improve your life is today. In fact, the only day to improve your life is always today. Any other day is procrastination."
