THEY DID IT!
TEAM GB SUMMITS KILI

We're so proud of the entire Survivor Summit team for achieving its goal this week and reaching the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa! Growing Bolder's Marc Middleton and Wendy Chioji and Dr. Robert Masson, a Growing Bolder partner, are shown here proudly waving the GB flag atop the world's highest free-standing mountain!

They were among a group of cancer survivors and supporters who raised money for Livestrong for this expedition. Over six grueling days, they ascended to a height of 19,344 feet. In Wendy's case, the trip came just three months after she completed chemo and radiation for her second cancer diagnosis.

We'll be sharing much more from their adventure in the coming weeks, but for now, join us in celebrating this very cool moment! Visit our Facebook page to leave your congratulations.

  Walking on Water
We're excited to welcome Karen Putz to the Team GB Elite blogging team! In her first post, Karen explains how a Today Show story on an "old lady" inspired her to return to her first love, barefoot water skiing. Decades earlier, Karen had lost her hearing in a bad fall and hadn't been back on the water since. At 44, she felt herself succumbing to the steady creep of age -- until she saw that story. We hope her story inspires you to find the passion again in your life. Click here to read her story.

You've been hearing it for years -- drink 8 glasses of water a day. But do you really understand why this is so crucial? Team GB Elite blogger Oleda Baker spent years as a Wilhelmina high-fashion model and today, at the age of 79, she feels better than ever. What's her secret? Water, water, water.
