Hello and welcome to the June instalment of Mentoring Monthly.
With the British summer of sport putting us all in an energetic mood, we’ve been scouring the country for yet more interesting and varied case studies from business men and women bearing the enterprise mentoring torch. We’ve been examining the importance of networking in building a new business, with the help of the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills. And for our thousands of new mentors there’s a reminder of the many ways you can connect with mentees across the country.
For those who missed Penny Power’s workshop in London last month, mentors can access her presentation online. The newly appointed mentoring ambassador is also one of the many prominent female businesswomen being backed by Theresa May as part of a new home office initiative. We’ve taken a closer look at why the Home Secretary is supporting those women that are leading the way to economic recovery through mentoring.
If you know of anyone who would make a great mentor, please help us spread the word by forwarding this newsletter to them or by using the 'Tell a Friend' tool on the Get Mentoring homepage.
