What a week it has been, our thoughts are with anyone affected. For the gardening, horticulture and nursery businesses we have seen the Royal Horticultural Society cancel all of their shows up to the end of June 2020.
The RHS is part of Jekka's, the herb farm is not only a partner nursery, it has also been part of the RHS show scene for over 27 years during which time we were awarded 62 RHS Gold Medals for our displays. Jekka is also a Vice President and has been awarded the VMH. Therefore, not having the RHS Chelsea Flower Show this year is a tremendous, but understandable, loss.
Jekka is a strong advocate of the nurseryman and a passionate promoter of horticulture. Many of these nurseries rely on the shows as their primary source of income and others, like us, have been growing for RHS Chelsea 2020 since last summer. At this time, we kindly ask you to support your local nursery whether it is buying a herbaceous perennial or a carnivorous plant, they need your support.
At Jekka's we will be continuing to offer our Farm Collection and will be happy to help you get gardening through this difficult time. Our Farm Collection can satisfy all the aspects of self-isolation as we can accept online payments and can leave the plants by the farm gate.
We have many plants looking good at this time including our Thymes and Mints.
Whether you are new to gardening, young or old Jekka's grow at home herb kit is all you need to start growing and using herbs; just add love and water.
At Jekka's we believe herbs are the most wonderfully diverse and useful plants, coming in all shapes and sizes, textures, colours, perfumes and uses. Not only do they turn a meal into a feast but a simple herb infusion can ease tension and lift the spirits.
We wish everyone to enjoy herbs and have developed this kit as a good starting point. It contains Jekka's special hand-mixed seedling compost as well as 5 packets of our seeds. Read more through the link below.
We are continually monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation carefully and are following the advice and guidelines set by Government. As the situation is rapidly changing we have put together a dedicated webpage that we will update frequently. We thank you for your patience as we navigate through this and our thoughts are with anyone affected. We still hope to still be able to run many our our Herb Experiences this year and ask you to keep monitoring this page and our social media channels for information.
Wishing you continued good health, and stay safe, from all at Jekka's
