Jay Chen: Finding Solutions, Delivering Results

Dear Friend,

With the election just 35 days away, it's starting to get ugly.  On top of the three attack mailers I've been hit with, this week my team found this sign at a busy intersection in Fullerton:
When I supported a Mandarin language class for our Latino students in the district, I was hit with the same kind of attacks from the Tea Party.  I was accused of being a spy that was brainwashing American students to believe in Communism work for China.  It got so silly that The Daily Show had to investigate:

The extremists even tried to recall me from the school board.  While they failed in that campaign, all across the United States they have won elections and now impact our country with a divisive anti-immigrant and anti-multiculturalism message.  And they could win this Congressional seat as well.
My opponent Ed Royce is infamous for his views on multiculturalism, as expressed in this video.  Last year, he campaigned to make Arizona's controversial "Show me your papers" law a national standard.  In 2006, he joined a handful of legislators to vote against extending the Voting Rights Act of 1965, the landmark bill that protects the rights of minorities to vote.
Immigration and diversity are part of our nation's DNA, and help make our country great.  Let's elect a Congress that appreciates that.

Please make an investment in my campaign of $10, $50 or $150 so that I can fight against this xenophobia, and keep it out of our Congress.
