Thank you for supporting the campaign to encourage Brent McKim to nominate Ivonne Rovira to BSK.

Although we were not successful, we appreciate your support.

We wanted to let you know a few things that have happened since then:

An election for the only open BSK seat that is elected by membership was conducted. There were four candidates.

Due to no majority winner, and several anomalies with the election results, a run-off between the two top vote-getters, Kenyata Dean-Bacon and Natalie Rashad, will be held Jan. 11 - Jan. 13, 2020.

JCTA Elections are also coming up Jan. 27 - Feb. 3, 2020. There are executive and regional positions on the ballot. Deadline to file to run is this Wednesday at 5:00 PM. (Please check the newsletter and bylaws to confirm dates).

The Kentucky Alliance People’s Agenda Education Committee meets Monday’s at 4:00 PM via zoom. Today’s agenda includes JCTA Elections, Student Assignment and other issues related to JCPS.
