A Note from the Director

It is really hard to believe that I am already writing the April newsletter. That means that the school year is almost over. It has gone so fast this year! We are thankful that the weather is turning more spring like and we can enjoy the playground with our friends.

We are celebrating Easter this first week. We will have egg hunts, art projects, and much more to think about Easter. Pastor Robert and I will share a simple and developmentally appropriate Easter story with the children that focuses on Jesus being alive and living in and among us even today. Happy Easter!

Later this month we will celebrate Week of the Young Child  (April 24-28). This is an international celebration of early childhood programs, children and families. I hope that you can join us for our Brown Bag lunches on Thursday that week. See your child's teacher for details on time and location. There are also plans for some school spirit activities that week. Check out the information later in the newsletter!

We wish you all a fun, safe, and memorable Spring Break. We can't wait to hear all the stories of travel, fun at home, and much more when the children return.

We have 7 weeks of school to go and we are going to make each and every day fun!

Trike days are coming!! On May 4th, the children (2-4 year old classes only) are invited to bring their favorite riding toy to school. Please make sure that your child has their name on their riding toy, because there are always many duplicates. Also, you must have a helmet for your child in order for them to be able to ride their trike at school. Please label the helmet with child’s name. There will be a place to drop off the trike and helmet near the playground fence at preschool drop-off.

Our first visit with the residents of the Carriage Club was a huge success. The smiles on the faces of the ladies were priceless as they interacted with the 4's class. They worked together on a craft, read stories, sang songs with Pastor Robert, and laughed and talked together.

We look forward to continuing this partnership this month. All of the children will interact with the residents that visit us.
