A Note from the Director

Lights are going up. Christmas songs are on the radio. Santa has arrived at the mall. December is here along with all the preparations for Christmas that are soon to arrive. This month in preschool we will continue to have a wonderful time sharing and learning together. This time of year is often very busy with parties, presents, and dreams of visits from Santa Claus. We will make an effort here at preschool to help the children understand the real meaning of Christmas. We will share the Christmas story with the children and help them to see how special and precious the little baby born in a manger is for the world.

I invite all of you to attend the 4-year-olds Christmas Program on Tuesday, December 6th at 6:30pm. They will present a short telling of the Christmas Story through song and actions. It will be followed by a short reception. Come and celebrate the birth of Christ as the 4-year-olds lead our celebration.

December is a busy month! We will have many activities planned in each class throughout the month. All classes will be invited to chapel the last full week of school to have a birthday party for Jesus! Look for your child’s ornaments on the preschool Christmas tree in the lobby. They have worked hard to decorate for all to enjoy.

I want to stop and take a moment to wish each of you a safe and Merry Christmas with your family and friends. I invite you to celebrate the season with us in worship here at Good Shepherd. More details of regular and special services are available later in the newsletter.

Merry Christmas and we’ll see you in 2017!
