|Rahma Health Clinic Open House and Forest Garden Work Blitz -
Sunday October 14
The Rahma Health Clinic will be holding its first Open House on Sunday October 14 from 1 pm - 5 pm. The location is 3100 South Salina St in Syracuse. For more info, you can contact the clinic directly at Rahmahealth@gmail.com or 315-565-5667.
The mssion of the Rahma Health Clinic is: To provide high quality healthcare to the uninsured, indigent and under-served adult members of Central New York community regardless of the ability to pay, and regardless of religion, race, gender or background. RAHMA Health Clinic envisions itself as part of a larger network of institutions addressing the health and wellbeing of the underserved and indigent, mindful of the cultural, spiritual, social and economic realities that impinge upon them and the traditional barriers to accessing care.
This site is also the home of the Rahma Edible Forest Snack Garden, a project of the Alchemical Nursery. A work blitz will take place alongside the Open House, during the hours of 2 pm - 4 pm. Tasks will include weeding, planting daffodil bulbs (we've got 200 ot them!), garbage cleanup, and other needs that come to attention. Won't you consider joining us to lend a hand? The forest garden is looking great, and you can come see the newly installed interpretive sign up close and in-person. It's a really exciting sign as it shares info not only about the project site, but also details about forest gardening and permaculture :>)
Just show up, or contact Frank for more info at 315-308-1372 or email@example.com. To sign up your telephone number to receive SMS Text message reminders about work days and other volunteer activities, send an email to the Alchemical Permaculture Collective at firstname.lastname@example.org.
