EPA supports EBC Call to Action

EPA supports the European Brain Council (EBC) Call to Action for developing national brain plans as well as an EU-wide strategy addressing the brain. The call was launched on the occasion of the EBC “Polish Brain Plan” meeting on 17 November in Brussels, at which EPA President Elect Professor Silvana Galderisi represented EPA.
The call invites EU Member States to implement public health programmes addressing brain health in a systematic way, making the best possible use of available resources in order to stimulate more and better coordinated brain research, and to foster strategies for prevention, early detection, diagnosis and adequate treatment.
The call also addresses the European Commission to develop a European strategy to tackle brain disorders in an integrated and comprehensive manner, as well as to further support EU Member States in their efforts to combat the impact of brain disorders.

For more information and to support the call, please visit the European Brain Council website
