Founded in 1983 in Strasbourg, France, the European Psychiatric
Association will celebrate its 30th Anniversary in 2013!

EPA Prizes & Awards

Applications are being accepted for EPA's Scholarship Programme 2013 and the EPA Research Prizes. All interested, eligible early career psychiatrists are encouraged to apply.

2nd EPA Academia Summer School: A Unique Experience

Nine scholars from EPA's 2nd Summer School collaborated to write a short article about their experiences at the school. Recognising EPA's Summer School as "one of the most successful educational activities on the international level in the field of psychiatry," the scholars commented upon various aspects of the programme, the knowledge gained and the new professional contacts made. Autumn Committee on
Education Meeting

The EPA Committee on Education held its annual autumn meeting at the EPA Offices in Strasbourg. The Committee discussed issues of importance for Academia for Excellence in European Psychiatry, such as e-learning, CME courses during the EPA Congress and itinerant CME courses, the 3rd edition of EPA Summer School and collaboration with partners like UEMS.

Developing a Person-Centered Model of Healthcare for the Patient with Dementia

This conference, taking place in London on 26-27 November 2012, is the inaugural project in the International Conference and Publication Series on Person-Centered Healthcare launched with WHO in Geneva on 1 May 2012. This highly original event is under the patronage of EPA and many other international societies and organisations.
