EPA-EBC Brain Awareness Events

Expanding brain research in Europe

On the occasion of Brain Awareness Week (BAW) on 13-17 March, the European Brain Council (EBC), in collaboration with EPA, the Dana Foundation, the Belgian Brain Council, and the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS), organized an Outreach Event at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France on 16 March 2017.

The Outreach Event theme, “Expanding Brain Research in Europe: A Societal Need?”, was also addressed at a Lunch Debate organised in Brussels on 14 March and the BAW Networking Cocktail held at the EPA office in Strasbourg on 15 March.

The meeting resulted in a fruitful debate, with a good showing of policymakers, researchers and the general public, all interested in raising public awareness for brain research in Europe.
