Prof. Bailey explains, "It’s a strange feeling to be told you have been placed on three "lists". Particularly so the woman's 100 power list. It was an amazing opportunity to meet with the other 99 women and to hear what they do. I have already made good use of new contacts from across the fields of industry, arts, politicians, scientists, philosophers and philanthropists. These have provided opportunities to get the mental health message out in the media and in particular I have had the chance to appear on current event programmes on radio and television.
I discovered as a group of women we were enablers who believed passionately in our cause and we have each brought evidence to bear on our area of interest. I guess the key qualities we showed as females were persistence, multitasking, seizing each and every opportunity and above all working as part of really fantastic teams, always working pragmatically and with a sense of humour."
The EPA warmly congratulates Professor Sue Bailey on these achievements!
