Ryoichi Kurokawa at FACT

In March, Ryoichi Kurokawa unveils a major new commission titled unfold at FACT (Foundation for Art and Creative Technology) in Liverpool, UK. The large scale audiovisual installation brings the artistic insight of Kurokawa into contact with the expertise of and data used by astrophysicists. For the duration of 2016, Sedition have partnered with i/o lab to present Public Art Screens. Each month the partnership will present work by a different artist in different locations around Stavanger, Norway. Selected works from Marie Vic’s Ten Blows collection will be display for the month of March. The programme aims to create new spaces for viewing art designed and developed for screens. Read more ›

Sougwen Chung has been presented with an Excellence Award at the 2016 Japan Media Arts Festival. The accolade recognises the artist’s collaborative drawing project with a robot named ‘D.O.U.G._1’ (‘Drawing Operations Unit: Generation_1’), which explores boundaries between human and machine interaction and creativity. Derek Culley presents a solo exhibition at The Landing, the new commercial gallery at The Atkinson in Southport. On until 15 May 2016, the exhibition presents paintings and prints by the Dublin born artist. Visitors can purchase digital editions from Culley’s Brushes Odyssey collection from the museum gift shop.

Peter Newman Peter Newman

Following his exhibition Subterranean Blues at CNB Gallery, Shoreditch, Peter Newman presents 51°30’51”N 0°07’48”W at The Gallery on the 5th floor of the Foyles bookshop in London. The exhibition, curated by Futurecity, features prints and digital editions from Newman’s Dial Collection, as well as his iconic SkyStation sculpture.
