District Quiz final is 19 April at Park Hotel, Falfield.

Next District Council and Mini Convention will be 21 March and District Assembly is 28 April.  

Chepstow will no longer be meeting at the Bodega Susanna. They will be meeting at various locations. Potential visitors should contact the President Geoff Sumner or the Secretary Ray Lee for the current venue.

POLIO
ON BBC TV

The BBC Medical Correspondent, Fergus Walsh, will be filming the National Immunisation Day in India.
This will then be broadcast on BBC Breakfast news on the 20th of February, live from Delhi.
The story will also be featured in the 6 o’clock news and the 10 o’clock news. In addition, the featured broadcast will be available to view on the BBC website permanently which means everyone can see the broadcast again and again. 

 
eCLUB UPDATE

The unique District eClub  held its Inaugural meeting  on Thursday 2nd February.

Congratulations to Tim Mason on election as Charter President.

They recently also held an excellent physical get-together in Gloucester.

The eClub is still looking for members. More information on its website. 

CONFERENCE UPDATE
 

College Green is now clear for the Festival of Rotary and is being restored.

Bristol Evening Post will be featuring the Festival on a weekly basis.



World Rotary Day is Feb 20th - what are clubs doing??


Clevedon celebrated their 75th Charter on Saturday 28th Jan. Congratulations to them.
 

YOUNG CHEFS

Young Chef Semi Finals are underway with more entries than ever.

The District Final will be on 3rd March at Marling School, Stroud in Gloucestershire.

Thanks to Target Catering for their very generous sponsorship of the competition. 



A NOVEL IDEA!

Here's something very different.

Four times a year Nailsea and Backwell hold a second hand book sale.

The sell around 1,000 books each time at 50p each. All books are donated with paperbacks proving to be the most popular.

Simple but effective. Well done to them.
