This is the first District 1100 Newsletter and very much a trial one.

Does your Club want to Highlight an Event?

Then let us know well in time with date, venue etc and we will see what we can do to include it. The subscription of this Newsletter will hopefully rise over time and will be sent to those within and without the District who wish to receive it.
Events of Clubs using the RIBI Template will automatically be shown on the District website.

This is our first attempt

At producing an eNewsletter for the District. It is still a learning curve for us to get it right. Please keep in touch and let us know what you think of it and bits we can add to make it newsy.

The District Membership Team and the Marketing PR and Communications Team are joining forces to have a task force to help Clubs recruit new members. If you feel your Club could make use of the advice, help and guidance of the District Task Force then please get in touch with Sue Fitzjohn at Worcester Vigornia. We are here to help.

Zone Meetings

Are coming to a venue near you in the next few weeks. We would like to point out that they are not just for club officers they are for all members to come along and be informed about what is happening in their Zone, District and the wider world of Rotary. We would also like them to be interactive so we will be listening to what you have to tell us and what you want.
Keep a look out for the dates and the venues.

Your District Website.

Also NEW your District 1100 eNewsletter

It really is what you make of them since we require feedback on both. We would like to hear from you what you would like to see on the website and also the Newsletter. The interesting bits and the not so interesting things. We will not know unless you tell us.

We sent you this eNewsletter?

At present we have put you down as a subscriber  for your Club, if you wish the Newletter to go to someone else within your Club please let us know. If you discuss this with colleagues and want them added please let us know. We will be trying to add pieces of interest to Clubs and members around the District each month. So if you have a story to tell please get in touch by E-Mail to or give me a call and we can discuss it. We are looking to make it bright with lots of pictures so the more you take the better. We also intend to keep a picture gallery of District 1100 through the year. Very useful to highlight some of the main events through the District. We want to  "CLOSE THE GAP" if there is one between the Clubs and District. Is there an article you would like included? Of course we would like some pictures. Please get in touch.

We, the district marketing PR and communications team get  E-Mail updates weekly from RIBI on matters to do with publicity. We would like to send them to your Club PR person and it is worth adding them to the subscription list of this Nesletter, once again let us know because they are not always listed in the District Directory.

District Governor Martin Greaves

It is a great privilege and honour to be District Governor of District 1100 – one of the stronger and better structured Districts in RIBI. I came into Rotary less than 10 years ago when I finally agreed with my wife, Ann, that I was too old to continue playing rugby and cricket. And it would be fair to say that not only has it now taken over much of my life but it has also changed my outlook on the world and the people in it.
Ann and myself are very much looking forward to meeting Rotarians around the district in this coming year and making a contribution to the Clubs efforts to improve the lives of people in the local community and also further affield.

There is a full write up from Martin on the NEW District 1100 website.

It's not Worcester it is certainly not Heinz but it is Ketchup

However it is tomato ketchup and its from the famous brand Tiptree with the name Wilkins so the quality should be good.  All you have to do now is use the quality, use the brand name and use your imagination and initiative to make money for End Polio Now. If End Polio Now does not float your boat use the ketchup to show a big brand name as backing Rotary and milk the promotion.
There is also a District Competition for the best use of the promotion. The most imaginaive use of the ketchup within the District or the Club that produces the best return on the ketchup investment. Let us see what you can come up with.
