The very different Charter Event held at the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust centre at Slimbridge was a great success.

Members of eight Clubs attended to welcome the eClubs 35 members into Rotary.

Founder President Tim Mason said "Today has been wonderful, we have such a good Rotary eClub and it was lovely to be supported by other Clubs from the District. "

DG Martin said, when welcoming the members of the eclub, "that what one gets out of an organisation or activity is directly proportional to what one puts in. And the members of the eClub were joining a District which has raised nearly $400,000 for the Gates Polio Challenge and where the average contribution per member towards Foundation is $67. Cubs in the District raise in the order of £1million each year for charities and good causes that equals approximately £500 per Rotarian." He went on to recall some of his most memorable "Rotary Moments.

Many congratulations to everyone involved.

All suggestions very welcome as to where they can hang their Charter!
