SEPT IS NEW GENERATIONS MONTH

How many times during the Olympics did we hear the phrase “Inspire a Generation”?

Well September gives your Club an ideal opportunity to do just that.

Now is the time to be approaching schools about the youth competitions for musicians, photographers, citizens, technologists, chefs and writers.

Summary and helpful guidance on how to approach schools are here.

Contact District New Generations Chair Bryan Bamber to get your Club involved.

CHILDREN IN NEED

Rotary is again supporting Children in Need on 16 November.

Great opportunity for Clubs accross the country to link together to beat the £100k we raised last year.

Information here or from Ken Corrigan.

MILLION MEAL APPEAL

Fareshare are looking for volunteers to greet customers in Sainsbury’s stores across the UK on 6 and 7 Oct.

This is to encourage shoppers to donate an item of food to people in need.

Last year they rescued 3,600 tonnes of surplus food and contributed towards more than 8.6 million meals, feeding 36,500 people a day.

Register here to get your Club members involved.
BABY CLOTHES SUCCESS

Sandra & Peter Davey have delivered the first load of baby clothes.

This excellent project has generated lots of excellent local publicity.

Let's keep collecting for this excellent District International Project.

SEE THE WORLD WITH ROTARY

The  International Travel & Hosting Fellowship offers members travel to any one of the countries in which the fellowship has members.

Members are invited to contact fellow members with a view to being hosted for a few days whilst in the locality.

Members also enjoy the enrichment from welcoming and hosting other members from throughout the world.

The ITHF also provides opportunities to join highly specialized, Rotary-themed, professionally guided tours of other countries and places of interest.

Visit the Fellowship's website or contact Alan Martin to find out more.
