Greetings from Florida! It really feels like a new energy is present and I'm excited to be moving ahead with various work projects and my first official singing gig as a resident of Florida (at CSLFTL). See "updates" below for the details.

Ben and I (and our kitty Bella) are relatively settled now in the new house. Summer is in full swing, which in South Florida means it's humid, hot, and buggy. Our AC went out last weekend and we got the full (not fun) experience, but fortunately all was under warranty and we will never take it for granted again.

Ben and I go to the beach every week and recently took up snorkeling. There are some world-class reefs nearby and it's so fun to see all the colorful fish, lobster, and even a sea turtle! It's a great way to have fun together.

As always, thank you for your support and connection. Keep reading for inspiration + music!

Warmly,
Cheri

INSPIRATION

Clear and Come Current

Every year I choose a quality or inner intention to focus on for personal growth. Since there was so much happening at the end of last year/beginning of 2021 with moving, it was March before I carved out some introspection time to think about it.

What came forward was "Clear and Come Current." Now, this isn't really a quality per se, but it felt right as a guiding intention on all levels.

Also, if you don't already know this, I love cleaning, clearing, and organizing. I swear I could have another career if I wanted to as a professional organizer, email declutter expert, or productivity coach. Maybe my love of introspection is just that tendency turned inward. Regardless, it's a healthy practice that I think is a distinguishing feature of my personality.

Lately there's been a lot I've cleared out and let go of, big tasks completed, and now I feel like I'm in a "get current" phase.

Starting this new chapter of life in a whole new city, new house, and coming out of the isolation of the pandemic really made me think about:

1) How I've changed?
2) What do I want now?
3) What do I want/need to release?
4) How do I want to be introduced to new people?
5) (And very practically) What has been left on the back burner/very low on the priority list that now needs to be completed/cleared?

Answering these questions, making a list of action steps related to those answers, and a plan to move forward was really empowering! My intention is to complete (or declare it done) that which needs to be completed/cleared and move ahead with designing my next stage of life and the most current version of me.
