Reminder: Please continue to do your part to help keep our community safe! In order to minimize the chance of spreading COVID-19 in RMP buildings, please:
- If your child was exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, they should quarantine from other people for at least 10 days. This includes a mandatory requirement of them NOT coming into an RMP building. If you have questions about this, please call your school.
- If your child has ANY symptoms of COVID, they should stay home from school. If you have questions about when it is safe for your child to return, please call your school. A full list of symptoms is available here.
- When in doubt, go get a FREE COVID test. All DPS students can access free student testing here, and APS students can call for a clinic appointment at 303-326-2090. If your student is under evaluation because you think it’s possible they have COVID-19, they should not be in school.
Thank you for everything you are doing to keep our community safe!
Teacher Vaccination Update
As you may have seen, Gov. Jared Polis recently announced that Colorado teachers and child care workers will be able to receive the coronavirus vaccine starting Feb. 8, with prioritization of in-person staff. Denver Public Schools and Rocky Mountain Prep are working with Children’s Hospital Colorado to determine when RMP staff will be able to sign up for their vaccination appointments.
We will communicate with families as soon as we receive more information from Children’s Hospital and DPS on the vaccination plan. Families should expect that we will need to hold an asynchronous/on-your-own learning day so our staff can attend their appointments. We are so grateful that our team will be able to receive these vaccinations, and please know that we will continue to follow all safety and health precautions.
