Medical Director Note

Welcome to our last eUpdate for 2016.

This has been a good year for some, a great year for Bulldogs fans and a challenge for others. At this time of year its good to reflect on what we have and how lucky we are to live in such a wonderful environment as the Adelaide Hills. Remember this was the year when it was still Green at Christmas.

For those who are still working over the Xmas and New Year break thank you. Your efforts are appreciated.

We are looking forward to an exciting year in 2017.

Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year.

Michael Taylor

Trojan's Trek

Our colleague Dick Wilson has suggested we consider Trojan’s Trek.

GP’s may come across patients who have had experiences while serving in the military who may benefit from the attached foundation project.
There is no cost to participants and I encourage you to have a look at their website for details of who they might help and what is involved. Participants travel via vehicles and do no harm to those involved.

In lieu of Christmas cards this year Summit Health has made a donation to KickStart for Kids

KickStart for Kids was founded in 2011 on the belief that every child, regardless of their social or economic background, should have an equal chance. Breakfast, lunch and mentoring programs are the core programs that are run in South Australian schools, however, they also provide basic clothing and healthcare needs.

KickStart for Kids supports over 300 South Australian Schools, providing around 40,000 breakfasts and 10,000 lunches per week. Our donation would equate to 75 breakfasts being provided!

We wish you

a safe and enjoyable Christmas

a Happy New Year...
