Medical Director Note
Medical issues have been frequently raised in the press and in the community.
We are awaiting an announcement from Country health around the overnight GP.
We believe this will be soon and we will call a meeting with GP's and practices once details are known. As you are aware this has been discussed for upwards of 5 years so a few more days wont matter !!
I attended the CPD event held by RDWA last night at Mt Barker with 10 other GPs from the region. We had an excellent talk from Simon Khoury and Lachlan Warren on dermatitis, including where the new biologic agents sit in Psoarsis treatment. It was challenging with no power for the first 1/2 hr!!
RDWA will be supporting four more events over the year and we will publicise them ahead of time.

Focus Group: new Royal Adelaide Hospital website
Closes: Friday, 10 February 2017
The new Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH) Project is seeking consumers to take part in focus group sessions which will inform the development of a new-look website in preparation for the move to the facility. The creation of the website presents a significant undertaking as it will likely represent the first contact many consumers make with the new RAH and will be critical in ensuring they are equipped with essential information.
As part of the website project, a series of focus groups will be staged this month, incorporating separate sessions for Patients, Families and Carers, GPs, and Royal Adelaide Hospital Staff and Volunteers. Participants can be from any of the above stakeholder groups and will take part in one session each, with sessions lasting approximately an hour. It is envisaged that the focus groups will occur in week commencing 13 February 2017. Feedback received as part of the focus groups will help shape the look and feel of the new website, as well as the development of content. Health Consumers Alliance will host two focus groups on
