Art Therapy comes to New Hope!
The government has officially adopted our New Hope Primary School for orphans alleviating us of any further financial commitment.  Therefore, we are going to redirect our attention to help our students in other ways:
1. Continue our free monthly clinic to treat our school children, their caretakers, and the local Malindza Community.
2. Provide an after school feeding program to ensure the students have access to proper nutrition.
3. Provide art therapy and counseling for HIV positive orphans and rape victims.  We have trained Swazi counselors who will host events monthly at our school site to enable children an outlet to grow and thrive despite their challenges!

Sanele was discharged!
Sanele was diagnosed with TB last year and after he finished a 6 month treatment, the doctors realized it was actually MDR-TB (a drug resistant form).  They put him on a 2-year regimen complete with daily injections but still his lungs continued to decline.

Nutritious food was delivered weekly to his hospital room (which he chose to share with his 5 roommates, of course!) & we were able to send specialists to see him. He was discharged yesterday morning with strict instructions to return daily for injections. He asked for a bike to enable such transport, & was thrilled to receive a brand new one upon his discharge! Big thanks to everyone who donated to make the food, bicycle, and specialist physicians possible!
Chicago FUNdraiser this Sunday July 19th 8pm
This is by far the most entertaining fundraiser of the year! Join us at Hamburger Mary's in Chicago (5400 N Clark St) at 8pm for 10 rounds of bingo and chances to win prizes from Flirty Girl Fitness, Black Dog Gelato, The Coffee Alley, Wells St Popcorn, Nando's, and BlackFinn! (Thank you to all of our sponsors!!)

The one and only Velicity Metropolis will be calling out the bingo numbers and we must warn you - this ain't your average church bingo!  Come, invite friends, and say hi to GHFP co-founder Kait Mariutto - you definitely don't want to miss out on this evening of drag queen bingo!
