December 2013 Programming
*NOTE: A team of volunteers just returned from Swaziland and another team departs in one week.  Keep up to date in real-time with the team's orphan programming on Annie's blog:

A team of 3 US volunteers just returned from Swaziland last Monday and the next team of 4 volunteers is already gearing up for their trip in 1 week!
In November, volunteers were able to implement:
Feeding Program: Delivered food, cooked, and served school lunch for 637 eLangeni Elementary children. Delivered 3 months worth of food to all child-headed homes.
Malindza Primary School: Completed construction on classrooms 1 & 2 - starting construction on classroom 3.  Purchased furniture and teaching tools (chalkboards, etc).
eLangeni Pre-School: Supplied chalkboards, play equipment, pin boards, and an canvas alphabet wall.
The December Team will focus on 2014 school fees, Malindza Primary School, and numerous projects at child-headed homes. Join us on a future trip to Swaziland!

Your Suggestions?

We are hoping to amp up the number of locations offering our Artisan Direct items in 2014.  Bird on a Wire Boutique (Franklin IN) and 555 Hair Studio (Lafayette IN) maintain a regular inventory, but we'd love to have more hosts in other areas!

Do you know a salon, boutique, or store that might be willing to carry our jewelry, crafts, or home decor? We would also love to be invited to have a GHFP table at any art festival in your area!  Any ideas? Send them to annie:

The items are made by rural African artists with renewable African materials (wood, animal bone, recycled metals).  The items support GHFP orphan programming and provide a sustainable living for local artists so they can be empowered to escape the cycle of HIV and poverty!

*The masks above can be yours for a $35 donation (each) plus $5S&H

Education is the number one way out of poverty and proven effective in reducing HIV transmission.  Help us give rural Swazi orphaned children the tools to help themselves.
