Winter is one of my favourite times of year in the Grampians with our crystal winter waterfalls and refreshing walks followed by our award-winning spicy Grampians Shiraz by the fire at some of the amazing eateries around the region, you can read our blog post all about it here.

School holidays are coming up and there's great activities to keep the kids amused with animal encounters at our amazing Halls Gap Zoo and the chance to participate in geocaching fun The Grampians Way with Grampians Treasure Hunts at the Halls Gap Lakeside Tourist Park.

We've just launched our new Visit Grampians website which looks fantastic, as well as our new The Grampians Way Touring Guide which is a brilliant piece of printed collateral facilitating visitor dispersal and increasing length of stay.

Our new Preferred Partner Program for 2019/2020 is now available and spots are filling up fast; don't miss this amazing opportunity to partner with us on putting our region front and centre in our key target markets.

Grampians Music Festival is looking for sponsors for 2020 and it's a great opportunity to support this key event for the Grampians.

Congratulations to Bests on their listing at No.19 in The Real Review Top Wineries of Australia 2019, you can read all about it below.

Stay warm!

The GMF committee are currently seeking companies that align with Grampians Music Festival’s objectives:
- To highlight up and coming Australian independant artists.
- Leverage our spectacular location as inspiration for how we organise our festival, staying authentic, relatable, sustainable and grounded.
- Provide opportunities for our community, involving local businesses, local musicians and local not-for-profit organisations.

The Grampians Music Festival seeks to attract and engage a diverse audience of adventurous, community-minded music lovers from Melbourne, regional Victoria and interstate. By introducing new visitors to the region, we want to not only provide them with a great experience but encourage them to come back and explore the region.

The GMF committee are seeking sponsors that can help ensure the financial sustainability of the event for the coming years. This means getting involved with GMF at the grassroots level, helping them to grow the buzz that they’ve been building over the years. In exchange, they are offering premium brand positioning in Grampians Music Festival promotional material and at the festival site. This will allow for visibility and exposure to the Grampians Music Festival audience. It’s a great way to fulfill your corporate social responsibility, becoming involved in a music event that not only provides an excellent experience for patrons but helps to strengthen a regional community.

Making the fourth and longest walk in the Walk Victoria’s Icons series, the Grampians Peaks Trail will provide a world-class walking experience of 160kms that can be experienced in sections, or as one 13-day journey.

In walking the trail, we want you to experience the landscape and the majesty of the Grampians. In building the trail, we are using the environment to provide the path, and create experiences that will reward your effort – the reveal around a corner and the awe of the environment at the top of the mountain.

In order to protect the environment, boardwalks will be built to allow flora and fauna to continue to grow and provide animal corridors so they can continue their natural pathways.

We are continuing work on the priority sections – in the north from Roses Gap to Halls Gap and between Mount Abrupt and Dunkeld in the south, these sections that will be open to the public first. Whilst not open yet, we have cleared 88% in the north, and 57% in the south; and following closely with construction to ensure minimal environmental impact, built 42% in the north and 7% in the south.

Stage One is now open, with a three-day / two-night walk taking you through majestic landscapes such as the Pinnacle Lookout. You can book your first night campsite at Bugiga, then on day two, walk to Borough Huts campground which is set in a tranquil forest area next to Fyans Creek.

Check www.grampianspeakstrail.com.au for trail details and www.parks.vic.gov.au for Grampians National Park access updates.
