Erg-A-Thon Details

submitted by Barb Beckett and mark Lilleleht, Erg-A-Thon chairs:
The CRRC Junior Rowing program's big fundraiser -- the Erg-a-Thon -- is just around the corner on Wednesday, March 2, 4:30 - 6:30pm. We wanted to briefly touch base with families to offer a few reminders and a heads-up:
If your rower is holding onto any completed mailings from the Address-a-Thon in the fall, if there are a few sitting on the desk in his bedroom or on the back seat of her car, make sure they bring them to the boathouse straight away!
That said, if anyone hasn't finished their envelopes & mailings or if there are names that your rower only just remembered, there's still time to add those to the mailing. Have your rower ask for the supplies before the next practice and get those completed and returned by Tuesday evening.
And the heads-up:
A key component of our Erg-a-Thon is our online fundraising community through Piggybackr. Each rower should set up their own profile so that they can accept online donations from friends, family, and supporters. We have sent each rower an invitation to join Piggybackr using the email addresses on record with Regatta Central. A quick look at that email list shows that some rowers have their own email addresses listed while others have parent's or family email addresses listed. So if you get the email invitation please pass it along to your rower; and if you don't get the email? Well, you're always welcome to check in with your rower and see if they did. The occasional prod to teenagers never hurts!
And, of course, if you have any questions or concerns or need assistance accessing Piggybackr please feel free to get in touch with either Barb Beckett or Mark Lilleleht

Our best and... go CRRC!
