Settling In!
September 2019


Hope you've been settling into our 2019-20 schoo year! I hope you've been able to re-aquaint yourself with your website and hit the main pages our communities will be visiting this new year. We did a few trainings last week and I wanted to thank all whom were able to attend and ask awesome questions so we can better our sites!

Tutorial: Redirects

  • Do you know what CAPA is?! It's an awesome resource for your baseball teams and it's all run under CUSD's Sports & Rec department! This facility has been around for a long time, but is not always used. We want to spread the word and make sure your athletic teams know that it is available for their teams or for private lessons.
  • Check out the CAPA website here:
  • Feel free to add the link to any athletics pages or use the Redirects tutorial to add a page and dropdown in the menu that leads to this page!

  • I've received several inquiries about redoing staff pages. This is not currently mandatory, but if you are looking to redo your staff page, please use the tutorial & template below that I've recently created!
  • I've created several versions, including Elementary vs Secondary and templates as a grid and with photos!
  • While this is not yet mandatory, we will be moving in this direction by the end of the semester. If you'd like to create a hidden page to work on this staff page before making it your main staff page, please contact me or follow this tutorial >>

I've created a Google folder of thumbnails, icons and images that can be used in your News section of the website! I will continue to add to this throughout the year so please feel free to download the images or email me any you'd like added!

Slider Updates
Tutorial: Updated Slider Tutorial >>

The slider photo upload process has changed for the better! It now takes you through multiple steps to ensure things are working properly. If you have questions, please review the updated slider tutorial.

PLEASE update your slider images! Remember to have multiple kids in the photo and remove photos that have been on the homepage for a while.

RTFs Missing?

If you've noticed that RTF files were not appearing when you added a PDF, this was happening district wide. I have confirmation that it is now working again. If you are still having an issue, please email me. Otherwise, please go through and try to add in the missing RTF files so it doesn't get flagged in the ADA check.

Miss our last trainings?

The advanced training webinar video is on the training portal where you can learn how to  create new pages, add items to your dropdown, create redirects and buttons!

For new webmasters, begin with the basics PDF tutorial.

Does someone at your school need web access?

If you have a webmaster change or need to add another staff member to be able to edit the athletics pages or counceling, etc., please have your principal fill out the form below. It is important that we have a paper trail in regards to whom has access to edit the sites.
