LUNCH OUT AFTER CHURCH
Mark your calendars for lunch Sunday following worship. Any who wish are welcome to gather at Panera Bread in The Landing. They have a wide variety of food items, and each person orders separately, so we don’t have to burden a waitress with a dozen different orders and separate checks. Prices are very reasonable, the food is good, and there is room for everyone. Join the group Sunday, and consider making it a habit the third Sunday of each month.
MEMORIAL FOR DOC THULINE
Please join us for a service in witness of the resurrection for Horace Thuline
at 2:00 PM on September 30th, 2016 at
Southminster Presbyterian Church, 19834 8th Ave S, Des Moines, WA 98148.

May the good earth be soft under you
When you rest upon it,
May it rest easy over you when
At the last, you lay out under it,
And may it rest so lightly over you
That your soul may be out
From under it quickly, and up, and off,
And be on its way to God
BLESSING THE BACKPACKS
Thanks to those of you who took part in the blessing of the backpacks--really the blessing of our students and teachers of all sorts and sizes and ages. What a gift it is to study and work toward the formation of such a remarkable group of people!

You'll find reports from the pastors, elders and deacons and all sorts of good news deserving of prime coverage! You might be surprised to see what this big-hearted church has been up to! You may need the key to get into the protected portion of the website: stapc3604g.
