Good Friday — April 14, 7 PM
Easter Vigil — April 15, 7:59 PM

About these services: These are days filled with images, sights, sounds and activities.  There is movement in these days—greater informality, and a healthy dose of the stories that define who we are as a people of faith, that keep us. There is fire in these days!  If you’ve never been to these services before, come check them out.  If they’re your favorite services of the year, come check them out.  Whatever your reason, whatever your experience, come and experience the fire and wonder of Christ and the Three Days. Your presence magnifies the presence of God!

It turns out that the true masterpieces are not the walls that got some new paint this week. It is the volunteers who helped in the rush of Holy Week to get paint up on the new walls so renovations can continue without delay. Full-throated thanks to Kenney Balken, Derona Burkholder, Angelique Cadwallader, Jan Dittmar, Gary Glasscock, Ruth Jaslowski, Andy Resor, Lezle Resor, Bob Seel, and Anne Vandermay for help with the painting. Special thanks to "superintendents" Patti Warden and especially Mike Dittmar who has gone above and beyond the call of duty these last few weeks!

Preparation has become the theme for many of us at St. Andrew this Lenten season, from the construction currently underway to our Wednesday night meals. We've been setting the table in many different ways as the light lengthens, and one of those ways is our current stewardship drive. We're asking for your help in preparing for our next year by turning in your stewardship pledge cards by Easter Sunday, April 16. This allows us to establish a responsible budget for the coming year in time for our congregational meeting in May. Thanks for your generosity and commitment to St. Andrew! If it is easier for you, you can simply email the information to Chuck Sigars, our stewardship chair. All information is kept confidential.

Want to make a statement to our leaders about using science and evidence based research to form public policy?  Join the March for Science, Saturday, April 22nd, (Earth Day).  There's a national march in Washington DC, a march in Seattle, and other marches across the country.  In Seattle, it starts with speeches at Cal Anderson Park at 10am.  Then a march begins at noon from the park through downtown, past Westlake to Seattle Center.  Contact Laurie Rossnagel if you want to join a group,, or 425-466-3241.

The days are lengthening and we are moving toward the Three Days of Easter. Every year we break our Lenten fast at the Great Easter Vigil with a table overflowing with God’s gifts. If you can bring food for the table - a special bread or cake, fruit, pie or chocolate - please talk to Maggie.
As you see elsewhere, most of the painting occurred this week. Monday and Tuesday a crew from Manantial will come in to finish up. Thanks so much to our holy brothers and sisters from Manantial for their generosity, and to Giovanni and his professional painting crew who are giving us a day or two of their valuable time!

Renovations continue to affect access to the meeting rooms, bathrooms, classrooms, nursery, and choir room in the old section of the building. The office is open during regular office hours. The sanctuary is generally available, although construction activity can sometimes be noisy during the day.

Please check with Scott or Pat in the office if you have questions about scheduling a room or email If you have general questions, feel free to talk with any of the building team: Patti Warden, Bob Seel, Mike Dittmar, Dan Clawson, Dan O'Rear or Frank Sickinger. You can also find more information here. Many thanks to you for your input and for the great work the Building Team has done to get us to this point!
Updated list and photo directories are on the website. We'd love to have more and updated photos if you're willing to share them. Send a photo to That's the email if you need the password for the website as well.
