Join us Sunday after worship for Aftertalk. These gatherings are designed to offer conversational space to help us together make the link from worship to the world. Each week we add a page on the website with resources and links that may help you prepare for our conversation. Take a look on our website and join us on Sunday!
It takes time to build the kind of relationships that hold us over a lifetime. Food doesn't hurt either! All are welcome to gather Sunday following Aftertalk at Panera Bread in The Landing. Join the group Sunday, and consider making it a habit the third Sunday of each month.
The deadline is approaching to sign up for our Fall Retreat at Soundview, October 21-23. We will join with our friends at Newport and Summit Ave to play, rest, reflect and worship. Let Derona know if you are planning to attend and then register online at Soundview's website by Oct 14.  The cost is $90 per person. We are committed to ensuring that cost is never a reason for not participating in an activity. Let Derona know if you need help with cost.
“St. Andy’s Gals,” the affectionate name for our Women’s Association of St. Andrew, gives one a clue that this group enjoys fun, friendship, and food! We will meet on Monday, October 17th for a potluck at 6:30 PM.
Mark your calendars for our major fund-raising event! Can you help by donating hand-crafted items or baked goods, containers of ingredients for cookies, soups, or other favorites? Proceeds from past bazaars have supported REACH Center of Hope, youth of St. Andrew, Luther’s Table, NPH, and Renton schools.  Please plan to help make this year’s Holiday Bazaar a success and share one or more of your special talents!

Last Sunday, Barb Glasscock shared about the Crittenden's ongoing work in Haiti after the recent hurricane. Here's an update:

Hello Haiti Education Enthusiasts and Supporters:
Well, it always seems like our friends in Haiti just can’t catch a break.  The earthquake in January, 2010 shook most of our schools to the ground, and after almost seven years, we have been well on our way to getting most of them repaired or replaced.  And now the largest hurricane ever to hit the south coast of the island (at least since 1963, perhaps ever) has destroyed AT LEAST nine of our thirty-five schools.  Our new school at Petite Rivière was built to survive a Class 5 hurricane and it apparently survived Hurricane Matthew fine.  We are thankful for that.  I’m sure that it was used as a shelter.  I’ve been communicating with Maccène Ulisse, the principal, and he told me that the roof blew off his tiny house but that the school is fine.
