The days are lengthening and we are moving toward the Three Days of Easter. Every year we break our Lenten fast at the Great Easter Vigil with a table overflowing with God’s gifts. If you can bring food for the table - a special bread or cake, fruit, pie or chocolate - please talk to Maggie.
They say: "Every day, thrift stores receive donations of items with racial imagery - antique advertising cards, collectible salt-and-pepper shakers, vintage children's books, and mugs with team mascots. Do these items perpetuate hurtful stereotypes or are they harmless reminders of past attitudes? Should thrift stores sell these objects or should they be "sorted out" of popular culture forever? This traveling exhibit, organized by the Kaufmann Museum at Bethel College in Kansas, opens a conversation about race and ethnicity in Renton. The Renton History Museum will support this travelling exhibit with a local exhibit, Renton High School Indians: History of a Name, as well as programs and opportunities for community dialogue."

One of the ways we are keeping down construction costs in this phase is by doing some of the work ourselves. Painting the remodeled bathrooms, meeting/classrooms and hallway is one of those tasks. In order to keep things on schedule, we need to complete this work between April 6-10. Can you help? You don't need to be a master! If so, talk to Mike Dittmar who is heading up the project.

Please join us Wednesdays through April 5  as we journey through this Lenten season by sharing a simple meal together. Doors will open at 5:45pm, and dinner should generally start around 6pm. There's plenty for all! Email Chuck Sigars or catch him at church for more information. No RSVPs necessary.
Mountain Construction continues remodeling work which is expected to extend to mid-April. It will affect access to the meeting rooms, bathrooms, classrooms, nursery, and choir room in the old section of the building. The office is open during regular office hours. The sanctuary is generally available, although construction activity can sometimes be noisy during the day.

Please check with Scott or Pat in the office if you have questions about scheduling a room or email If you have general questions, feel free to talk with any of the building team: Patti Warden, Bob Seel, Mike Dittmar, Dan Clawson, Dan O'Rear or Frank Sickinger. You can also find more information here. Many thanks to you for your input and for the great work the Building Team has done to get us to this point!
