Parsha of the Week:
Vayetze: Genesis 28:10-32:2

Judaism of the Week: Family Purity

This week's parsha involves a lot of baby making. A LOT. So, when it's behind closed doors, it's not our business, right?

Well, there are some mitzvot related to interrelations of married couples, very specifically, the laws of Niddah and Mikveh. You can learn more about them here.

If you haven't taken advantage of our beautiful sea to dip before a special occasion or Yom Tov, perhaps we suggest you try it. It can be transformative (if not a little exciting . . . Pirate's Cove is a great option).

Rabbi's Message
For many of us, Chanukah is a “nice” holiday, with good food, candles, and singing. And that’s wonderful.  However, while we’re enjoying our latkes and spinning our dreidles, we often lose sight of the special opportunity with which this eight-day celebration presents us to bring spiritual light into our world through Mitzvot.  . . Get to know the feeling that you have done something easy that makes a difference. Flex your mitzvah muscles.
