Hi There,
Its been a busy Outdoor PHEC season for us with courses all over the South Island. Its been great to catch up with people in Nelson, Anakiwa, Christchurch, Queenstown, Dunedin, Timaru and Okarito!
As we stop to catch our breath (and ski a few runs) we thought we'd share a few guidelines and videos we've discovered in the last little while.
Outdoor Emergency Care West Coast style -  at Okarito lagoon
New opportunity: Join Antarctic Field staff on Aug 3rd - 7th. Christchurch/Ashley Gorge. Full & Refresher courses Contact us for both these.
2016 dates coming soon.
We can design courses specifically for your outdoor workplace - please ask.
#TakeTheKit.Watch.Share.Raise Awareness
We discovered a great little You tube clip showing someone having an anaphylactic reaction (to peanuts).
Watch the video here.
We're often asked about "Harness Hang". We have attached the latest Australian Resuscitation guidelines (2009) on suspension trauma here.
Key point: the patient should not be sat up after rescue - airway remains the priority.
'Pick me to be the patient' - a position in hot demand this winter!
