 Introducing Absolutely Alice

So tell us what you make?
Mmmm.... A little bit of everything:) "Lovingly Handcrafted, Covetable Curiosities" I make jewellery... necklaces, earrings and rings of all sorts! I love making jewellery with a whimsical and vintage feel as well as different and modern, I love old images of Paris and Alice in Wonderland and incorporate these into some of my pieces... I love turning lockets into rings:) My current favorites are the whimsical teacup rings and Wishes necklaces... and of course coming into summer all the bright flower rings!! I love upcycling books into wonderful new things...and giving them a new life out on display rather than tucked away in dusty book shelves... My Vintage Little Golden Notebooks, Little Golden Book Envelopes, Vintage book envelopes as well as Vintage book sprinkles, and my latest creation Very Vintage Little Golden Book Buntings. I love Golden Books and the authentic old noddy books.... which I also turn into Notebooks, cards and Magnets. I upcycle teacups into pincushions and candles...I make Shabby Chic Wheatbags, and a range of magnets including my little peg magnets. I have recently started making a range of baby things, Taggi Monsters, Nappy Clutches and Hats as well as Pretty Princess headbands.  I love creating and tend to try out anything that pops into my head.

What or who inspires you with your work?
I am inspired by many things.... I am inspired by colour and illustrations. I love trawling through Op shops and online for ideas and inspiration!! I have a room full of material and old lace and trims and dollies, Of old plates and teacups and bottles.... I have shelves of old books that I love looking through. Anything can inspire me, and lots of people inspire me... I love talking to other crafty people to bounce ideas off and discuss my thoughts.... I have always loved crafting.... My mum and aunties are all crafty ladies and I guess I just followed in their footsteps.... I have always made gifts for friends and last year decided I would see if the things I loved to make for friends and family appealed to anyone else.... and it seems like they do. Hearing all the positive feedback from my lovely customers really inspires me to keep going:)
