Calling all Hobbit fans and those who love Middle-Earth, owe a piece of it!
Irish star of The Hobbit films, Aidan Turner, who plays KILI, the young dwarf, has donated a special bottle of wine to Dingle International Film Festival. The Festival are pleased to announce that this will be raffled online to raise funds for the 9th Festival which will take place from March 12th to March 15th in 2015.
The bottle of Dorwinion Wine was given to Aidan Turner by Peter Jackson when filming on the trilogy wrapped.
To be in with a chance to win this prestigious Bottle of Hobbit Wine, simply enter the raffle on the Festival website www.dinglefilmfestival.com and you could be the winner and owner of this very unique prize!
The Hobbit Wine is in a presentation box crafted by the world-renowned Weta Workshop (winners of five Oscars and 4 BAFTAs). Weta Workshops have worked with Peter Jackson on The Lord of The Rings Trilogy, The Hobbit Trilogy, The Adventures of Tintin and many more fantasy films.
Only thirteen of these Hobbit Wines were made, one for each dwarf. One lucky person will be the only person in the world to own the wine given to KILI. The "Dorwinion Wine," favored by the Elves of Middle Earth, comes in a hand blown bottle with a paper label and wax seals on the front, a tag with Elvish writing is hung around the neck of the bottle. The bottle was packaged in a custom-made box, signed by the actor Aidan Turner, decorated with an image of the dragon Smaug and a Dwarven prop coin from Smaug's hoard is attached to the sliding front box cover. This coin itself is very desirable as it was used in filming, and no screen-used props from The Hobbit have been released to the general public. The prize also includes a signed and framed photograph of Aidan as the dwarf KILI.
Amazingly there are over 31 billion bottles of wine sold in the world each year, but this is the single only bottle of Hobbit Wine available to own in the whole world, making it indeed an amazing and unique prize.
The raffle will be a public event and take place on the 12th December to coincide with the release of The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. You can enter now!
One paypal code will be drawn to select the winner. The draw will take place in public and will be filmed, the film will be broadcast on social media and the festival website.
The festival is extremely grateful to actor Aidan Turner for this unique gift. Aidan will be seen again on our screens as KILI in The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies this coming December and will also play Ross Poldark in a new TV series of Poldark.
