UPCOMING - September 22 - Raina Telgemeier signing Drama
Raina Telgemeier, creator of the New York Times bestseller Smile, will be appearing at both our Vienna and College Park stores on Saturday, September 22, for her brand new book Drama!
Callie loves theater. And while she would totally try out for her middle school’s production of Moon Over Mississippi, she’s a terrible singer. Instead she’s the set designer for the stage crew, and this year she’s determined to create a set worthy of Broadway on a middle-school budget. But how can she, when she doesn’t know much about carpentry, ticket sales are down, and the crew members are having trouble working together? Not to mention the onstage AND offstage drama that occurs once the actors are chosen, and when two cute brothers enter the picture, things get even crazier! Following the success of Smile, Raina Telgemeier brings us another graphic novel featuring a diverse set of characters that humorously explores friendship, crushes, and all-around drama!

Nobrow 7: Brave New World SC
by Anders Nilsen, Andrew Rae, Domitille Collardey, Eleanor Davis, Ethan Rilly, Henry McCausland, Jillian Tamaki, Joose Swarte, Joseph Lambert, Louis Roskosch, Luke Pearson, Michael Deforge, Alex Spiro, Mikkel Sommer, Richard Short, Rob Hunter, Tom Gauld, Sam Vanalleheersch, Eda Akaltun
A brilliant new anthology from the Nobrow crew, this one has a theme of "Brave New World", leading to some clever looks at the future or the past, from 3 best friends remembering the first time they met as children, to a kid discovering a new world in the woods juxtaposed with a spaceman finding a new planet, to an alphabet of a bright future and an alphabet of a dystopian one! These are seriously some of our favorite creators ever, this is a great deal and package!

Drama SC
by Raina Telgemeier
Raina is finally back with a new book after her smash hit Smile! This story follows Callie, a set designer in her middle school drama department, and their attempts to put on a new play. Throw in her unrequited crush, some cute new boys trying out for the play, and lots of good friendships, and you have a tale that unfolds slowly but compellingly. It isn't called Drama for nothing!

A collection of Bell's ruminations and diary from over 5 years, including her time when she was promoting the film she made with then boyfriend Michel Gondry in Japan, their time on vacation in rural France, trying to make another long distance relationship work, and a trip to Comicon!
