SETsquared's Autumn 2013 Newsletter

Recently, the initial findings of Sir Andrew Witty’s review have called for universities to play a bigger role in driving growth. As one of Europe's leading business incubators, SETsquared knows first-hand the huge potential of the small research-led companies that are operating today at our five university sites.
We wholeheartedly agree with Sir Andrew's view that these have the potential to create not only major new businesses and the associated high value employment but exciting, entirely new industries as well. Additionally, we believe that Local Enterprise Partnerships are an important part of the innovation infrastructure and SETsquared is already committed to working with them to deliver economic growth.
In this newsletter, you can read more about our Accelerating Growth event in November, which celebrates 10 years of success at SETsquared, as well as the latest news from our incubated companies and student entrepreneurs.

Accelerating Growth Showcase event
27th November 2013

10 years of accelerating growth

As you read this newsletter, we will be making final preparations for our Accelerating Growth showcase event on 27th November. At the event, there will be exciting SETsquared start-ups, star alumni businesses that we have helped, and student entrepreneurs of the future.
While we’re proud of our record over the last 10 years, it’s the next decade that we are now focusing on. With the companies, mentors and students involved with SETsquared, the future is looking promising.
