MVFC Planning for 2016

We need you to get involved in MVFC in 2016.
Join the board, take part in a committee, host a pot luck for your friends or co-workers. Pot lucks are a very popular way for people to learn more about how co-ops work while they share some good food. Get in touch to plan one with us today!

MVFC Video & gofundme Campaign

Our "Local, local, local food" video launched during the holidays and is getting positive response. The video stars will be available for autographs (just kidding - but they are terrific!) The lyrics will help explain what co-ops are and how they work. Please take a listen and press that "Share" button so everyone can learn about the MVFC.
The gofundme is off to a slow start, but we hope the Membership Drive we are launching early this year will be a great success. We need members to make the co-op a reality. Please join at full membership today, (see below for real member benefits available now) Or, send a few dollars through the gofundme site.

New Connections
Thank you to INC, the Hunger Roundtable, for allowing us to share our MVFC plans at their January meeting. It was a pleasure to meet you all.
MVFC also made great new connections in January with many organizations around Haverhill including Community Action, Pentucket Medical, HC Media, Emmaus, Trinity Episcopal and more. Co-ops are also working on creative ways to address food insecurity issues and we brought this discussion to Haverhill. We look forward to future collaborations.
MVFC board members also attended two of the Urban Design Planning meetings. Check out what MassDevelopment and Utile are proposing. Share your thoughts about the future of Haverhill's downtown. Maybe there will be a Co-op there one day soon!

Incentive for our 1st 100 Members:

Cabot Cheese has generously offered cheese samples and coupons for the first 100 families who join the MVFC. If you are already a member, please contact Suzanne to get your free cheese! If you are thinking about it, join now and get yourself some yummy Cabot Cheese, too!
Members hosting a potluck will get delicious Equal Exchange coffee and teas to serve. Maybe chocolate as well...
We are working on other member perks and will keep you posted.

Other MVFC Stuff
We still have our "Co-ops are Co-ol" t-shirts. Green is a great Spring fashion color.
They are $15 each in a range of sizes. Get yours today.

Board members will attend the 5th Annual Neighboring Food Coop Association meeting on March 5th. MVFC is a member start up of NFCA and they are a wonderful resource as we grow.

Our ultimate goal is to sell member shares and show the world that Haverhill is ready for a food co-op.
Can you make a $150 commitment toward the MVFC future today? Get your membership now click MVFC Membership Application
