Dear <<First Name>>,
We are delighted to be able to invite you to
Aunt Elsie’s Spring Fling.
Friday 3rd May, Saturday 4th May 10am-6pm,
Aunt Elsie’s Marquee, Market Place, Reading
Following on from the success of Aunt Elsie’s Christmas Do last year, we are once again putting up the marquee, bringing out the bunting, laying the tables with china and showing you "another side of Reading".
With the help of the talented artists, designers and makers we know, we hope to delight you with this two-day extravaganza, showing the work of both familiar and new faces. Aunt Elsie will even have a tea space set up, run by our lovely jelly volunteers and 100% of all money raised in the tea space will be used for jelly’s education programme.
At Aunt Elsie’s Spring Fling you can expect to find original prints, drawings, textiles, handmade clothes, recycled furniture, glassware, jewellery, ceramics, books, photography, vintage clothes and much more, all with the designers, makers and stylists on hand to talk about their work.
Aunt Elsie’s is one of a number of events put on by jelly throughout the year. We are very lucky that Reading UK CIC work in partnership with us to enable us to bring Aunt Elsie events to life.
We asked Jo Keen (Marketing & Events Co-ordinator at Reading UK CIC) for a few words about Aunt Elsie’s:
"Reading UK CIC is delighted to be working in partnership with Jelly. This pop up market with a difference is a great way of bringing another unique and quality event to the town centre’s Business Improvement District".
As an added bonus, on Saturday 4th May from 2pm, Salvo Toscano will also be welcoming visitors to his studio (jelly studios, 42 Market Place, right opposite the marquee) for Open Studios 2013 (http://www.open-studios.org.uk/).
We really hope you can pop along and enjoy the treats we will have waiting for you,
Suzanne
