ANNOUNCING YONI KI BAAT TASVEER 2019!

Introducing YKB 2019 Director Jaya Ramesh

Tasveer is excited to introduce Jaya Ramesh as YKB 2019's director!

In her own words:

I am deeply honored to be asked to direct YKB 2019. I see this space as a collective crucible of healing for womxn. The narratives that unfold during this process are sacred and precious. Every time I am witness to a YKB show I’m reminded how these stories serve to connect, honor and shape the fabric of our community. It is my hope this year that in this tenuous political moment, that YKB will once again provide the nourishment and the inspiration to bring what is in our shadow to light.

I immigrated from India in 1989 and have made my home in the greater Seattle area for the last 14 years. I identify as a cis woman and have been married 14 years to my best friend. I have two lovely boys and delight in my work as a mental health therapist. I am grateful to have been part of YKB 2012 and the Tasveer community at large and am excited to give back!

Love, Jaya
